Nainima Hopes  To Make Her Parents Proud

Cecelia Siteri Nainima, 16  hopes to do her parents proud during the Oceania World Cup qualifiers in the Cook islands.

She is a member of the Fijian Under-17 girls soccer team to take part from January 13 to 23.

“My parents are very supportive and have been calling me every day to see how I am, so the support back home is amazing,” Cecelia said.

“All of us want to make our parents proud and do something good for our nation.”

The Narara, Ra native said playing a friendly match against the Under-14 boy’s team was a morale booster for the team.

“The game was challenging because the boys were quick. However, we managed to hold the boys back and keep their structure at the same time,” she said.

She also said at the moment the team was trying to work on their forward line and touch up their forwards combination.
