Nacaka Further Remanded
A 27-year-old unemployed man charged in relation to the alleged rape of a 21-year-old has been further remanded in custody.
Vilikesa Nacaka, who is charged with one count of rape appeared before Magistrate Charles Ratakele at the Nasinu Magistrates Court in Valelevu, Nasinu on Thursday.
It is alleged that the two had initially met on Facebook on New Year’s Eve and exchanged contact information online.
The court heard that the two then met a week ago at a secluded area in Nakasi where the alleged offence took place. The matter was later reported to Police by a relative.
Magistrate Ratakele ordered the accused to be further remanded in custody before the case was called again next Friday.
