Asinate Ravouvou says son Vatemo is a blessing to her family and Saunaka Village in Nadi

 

Asinate Ravouvou, mother of Vodafone Fijian 7s pivot Vatemo Ravouvou is proud of his achievements so far on the World Sevens Series.

She said Vatemo was a blessing to her family and the village of Saunaka.

“I thank God for giving me a son like him, I’m a proud mother,”Asinate said.

“I’ve only two sons and I am proud of their achievement.

“My other son Maika is playing in Australia.”

He started his primary school in Namaka Public School before he joined Ratu Navula College.

“He had always had a passion for rugby and he continues the family tradition,”.

She also said it was through God that Vatemo made it to the Fiji team.

“I always encouraged him to put God first,” she said.

Vatemo said his parents played a big role in his rugby career.

“Without my parents and without God I wouldn’t have made it this far. I thank my mother for always being there for me,” he said.
