Kunatani Flies In Next Week

Vodafone Fijian 7s coach Ben Ryan has confirmed Semi Kunatani will join the national squad next Monday following his game with Toulouse in France tomorrow.
“Semi Kunatani will fly over and he will be the first overseas person I would use this season,” Ryan said.
“We will see what sort of shape he is in. I’ve been in contact with him and I am pretty confident that he will be in good shape.
“I was pleased with the boys’ fitness when they came back. It was all good, so the festive season wasn’t festive for them. They made some sacrifices and they have seen the bigger picture and I was very pleased because it shows what a good bunch of men we’ve got here.
“I certainly enjoyed seeing our Captain Osea Kolinisau,” Ryan said.
He said Pio Tuwai has an injured shoulder and has received medical assistance.
“He should be okay.”
The squad is made up of Apisai Domolailai, Savenaca Rawaca, Emenoni Nasilasila, Vatemo Ravouvou, Viliame Mata, Osea Kolinisau, Jasa Veremalua and Jerry Tuwai.
Team named next week
Ryan said he would select the 14-men for Wellington and Sydney legs of the World Sevens Series next Friday
The team will march into camp to prepare for Wellington 7s next Tuesday.
“Will be training next week and on Friday we’ll select the 14 players.
“We were disappointed to lose to France in Cape Town, but we will keep trying and we have a very good team here. We got to keep working hard and learn from our mistakes,” he said.
