Array Of Events At The Fijian Tourism Expo This May

The Fijian Tourism Expo is the largest business event supported by the entire tourism industry of Fiji by working with tourism Fiji to exhibit the diversity of products and service available in Fiji.

With the official programme developed and key sponsors confirmed, Tourism Fiji’s Director of events, Sally Cooper said resignations are gaining momentum with over 25 buyers from long-haul markets already registered and “great support from our traditional short haul partners.” 120 exhibitors are also confirmed to attend the event in May.

FTE 2016 will be held at the Denarau Convention Centre from May 3-5.

ATS Pacific and tourist Transport Fiji (TTF) have again confirmed their support for the event. They will use the opportunity provided by FTE to showcase their new fleet of vehicles to international buyer by providing all the ground transfers in addition to theme and styling.

Pacific Destinations have partnered with Tourism Fiji to host the official welcome ceremony after their exceptional effort as co-hosts of the opening ceremony last year. The Victoria Wines Food Festival, which was very popular amongst the international buyers at FTE 2015, will draw the curtains on FTE 2016.

“By working closely with our industry partners, we have put great emphasis when designing the programme to ensure that international buys get the best experiences over the three days of the Expo,” Ms Cooper said.

“The success of a big event like FTE hinges on the level of support we get from the industry and right now Fiji is in a good place in terms of the willingness of the industry to work as a team to market Fiji as a compete tourism destination to the global travel market.”
