Chris Cracknell says few players are likely to be included in the extensive Telecom Fijiana squad.

The Fiji Women coaching director was impressed the effort of the Telecom Fijiana Makosoi and Telecom Fijiana Tagimoucia.

Makosoi ran riot over Nadi Blazer 21-0 and Mystic Knights 54-0, while Tagimoucia shrugged off Central Chiefs One 21-10 and hammered Coastline Roos 40-0 to compete in the quarterfinals today.

“Very impressive in the first-half and rusty in the second-half,” he said.

“The young girls proved why they should be in the Telecom Fijiana teams. I love to work every minute with these girls. It’s also fantastic for the Under -18 players coming through and putting their hands up for Rio.

Meanwhile, the Aussie Pearls and Serevi Select started their quest for the Crest Na Iri Trophy in resounding style.

The Tim Walsh-coached Aussies side swept Pool Q with wins over Central Coast Chiefs II 43-0 and Striders 24-12.

“We’re playing pretty well and it’s a good start for our young girls to get two wins on the board and we look to defend our title well,” Walsh said.

What’s on Today:
Quarterfinals: Aussie Pearls – Central Chief One, NZ Raiders – TFL Fijiana Makosai, USA Serevi Select – Nadi Blazers, Striders – Telecom Fijiana Tagimaucia,

Bowl semifinal: Central Chiefs – Coastline Roosters, Marist Seahawks – Mystic Knights
