Twelve passengers, who were travelling from Sigatoka to Nadi, were rushed to hospital after the vehicle they were travelling in veered off the road in Malolo, Nadi, yesterday.

Divisional traffic officer West ASP Mitieli Divuana said seven passengers were transported to the Lautoka Hospital for X-ray while the remaining five were rushed to the Nadi Hospital.

“The minivan was travelling from Sigatoka to Nadi and veered off the road. The passengers are being treated at both the hospitals,” he said

ASP Divuana said it was too early to give in full information as they were still investigating on the incident.

“No one was seriously injured and all passengers are in stable conditions. Our officers are still at the scene investigating.”

He said Police was again stressing that drivers needed to be vigilant while on the road at all times.

The accident happened around 2pm.
