Moroiwaqa Engages New Lawyer

A  Lautoka man alleggedly involved in a $15 million drug bust has opted to engage a new lawyer. Josese Moroiwaqa is  charged with one count of unlawful possession of ellicit drugs.

A second accused, Nayef Abourizk of Australia is also charged the same with Moroiwaqa.

Moroiwaqa, initially represented by lawyer Mark Anthony, was represented by lawyer Laisani Tabakoro.

Abourizk was represented by lawyer Iqbal Khan.

Abourizk and Moroiwaqa appeared before Justice Thushara Rajasingh.

The court heard the matter was for extension of remand warrant for both the accused.

Justice Rajasinghe ordered for the matter to be called on February 2 for mention.
