After six years in Suva Corrections Centre, Inmate Seru Doloura is ready to go home to his family.

He is among three inmates who had found temporary employment under the Fiji Corrections Service’ Yellow Ribbon Programme (YRP).

Since the beginning of last year, he has been working temporarily under the YRP job placement programme at the Quality Print Limited’s packaging department.

“I am thankful to be given this chance to prove myself to my families that I can change,” he said.

He is from Vuinadi Village, Vaturova in Cakaudrove and is married with three children.

They live at Navolau Village in Naitasiri.

“I have three sons who are twelve, eight and six. I can’t wait to go home and see them. I thank the Fiji Corrections Service for choosing me. I also thank Quality Printery Limited for accepting me and for putting their trust on me. Most importantly, I thank the Lord,” he continued.

“I came in with no skills and was jobless, but now I will head out of prison with a job and a promising future, and not only that, I will also be a changed man.

“I have bigger plans for my future,” he said.   Edited Maikeli Seru
