The Fiji team flew into Bangladesh for the International Cricket Council Under- 19 World Cup yesterday.

Team manager Josefa Rika said the boys need to acclimatize and adapt to the weather in Dhaka.

“It was quite cold when we arrived with temperature at 15 degrees Celsius,”Rika said.

“But this shouldn’t be much of an issue for the boys and everyone is well and looking forward to the competition.

“Our first warm-up match will be against South Africa in Dhaka.”

Fiji is grouped with England, West Indies and Zimbabwe

“It’s a tough group and the boys understand that it will take a lot of hard work to beat the top nations but I believe that anything is possible.”

Team captain Saimoni Tuitoga thanked the supporters for their comments on Facebook and has asked for prayers.

The World Cup starts on January 22 and ends February 14.
