Architectural Designer Talks About His Passion For Cars

Zubed Ali, a professional Architectural Designer and technician based in Nadi, can not only be described by his line of work but also a person who loves his cars.
This was evident when the proud father of two visioned his sons as ‘future race drivers’ while being interviewed by Sun Wheels.
Well who wouldn’t fall in love with cars knowing he owns a beautiful Suzuki Cappuccino and Toyota Landcruiser Prado? That would explain his craze from the beginning!
Mr Ali is not only the first in his family to own a sports car, but he is also the first to race on the tracks and has been racing since 2000.
He said: “I have participated in six 1/4 mile drag racing and three drag wars (side by side racing) and the maximum speed limit I have hit on the track so far was 170 kmph approximately. This was my best timing on ¼ mile drags,” he said.
According to this Nadi man, his Suzuki Cappuccino is special in a way that it’s the only piece in the South Pacific region and it’s one of the limited 660cc turbo in the country.
He proudly admitted he has a passion for convertible cars because it is very rare and this passion may not have a price limit as he has spent almost $25,000 on upgrades. All his vehicle parts have been imported.
Mr Ali acknowledged a few people in his journey to achieving every car fan’s dream.
“I would like to thank Naushad Moveen of Naushima Auto Performance for helping me out in getting my rides to what I am dreaming of with a lot more modes to come.
“I also want to thank my family, my wife for supporting me when I take part in Car shows and racing at Nanuku Aerodrome in Pacific Harbour organised by Fiji Car Club. I also hope more events, car shows and races will be organised in the near future.”
