Loabuka: We Need To Be Spot On
Crusader Nemani Nadolo is likely to play at the ANZ Stadium against the Chiefs on July 1.

Fiji Sports Council chief executive officer Litiana Loabuka aims to make sure everything is in place for the Chiefs-Crusaders Super Rugby at the ANZ Stadium on July 1.

“We’ve been working closely with the team, especially the events manager Cathy Newman for the next few months because this is a Gallagher Chiefs home game,” Loabuka said.

“The ANZ Stadium will be the Chiefs’ official home ground so we will make sure all the requirements will be met from our side. We need to be spot on.”

Super Rugby Event organiser and chief executive officer of Fortress Information System Matthew Davey said this would be very much open door for future Super Rugby games.

“We’ve got such a committed group of people from the Fiji Sports Council, Government all of our corporate partners. Fiji Airways is doing an amazing job to get rugby fans across in four flights,” he said.

“It’s really exciting and was happy to have people who are committed to delivering in what would be an amazing international event.

Hopefully in so doing we will be able to get more games in the future.

“We do have travel packages, two regular Fiji Airways flights from Auckland to Nausori and they have already added two extra chartered flights so that’s just the deals gone through already.”

Sponsorship manager Kate Shirtiliff confirmed major sponsors will be running a promotion to pick eight 10-14 year old boys and girls who are going to be the ball boys or girls on the night.
