Bred Bank Plans More Branches, Sun Insurance link

Since their establishment in Fiji in November 2012, Bred Bank has achieved a significant number of milestones.
And because of the growth and demand, Bred Bank plans to open two more branches this year plus it is developing a partnership with Sun Insurance
Chief executive officer Frederic Reynaud made these comments at the bank’s New Year and 3rd anniversary celebrations at the Bounty Restaurant in Nadi last Friday night.
He said: “We will continue to expand our reach in the Fijian market and will be opening more branches throughout Fiji this year.”
He said one would be based somewhere in between Suva – Nausori while the other was still at its early stages of planning.
“This is an addition to our growth in Fiji where we are looking at setting up two more branches in the country,” he said.
“We believe that remaining close to our customers is essential to properly serve their needs.”
The first branch was established in Suva with a head office based on level 5, TappooCity, followed by Nausori and Namaka branches.
Last year, two more branches were opened in Nadi and Lautoka bringing a total number of branches to five with a Kiosk in TappooCity, Suva, a first its kind in Fiji.
“Three years on, we now have close to 100 dynamic employees and have successfully spread our reach to almost 30,000 loyal customers in Fiji. Our commercial and corporate customer base is also increasing at a very high rate,” Mr Reynaud said.
“We believe with our presence we have mainatined our values and intend to continuously grow and develop them starting with the most important one: A high value of service and relationship.
“We already innovated in the past, for instance with our VISA Debit card. The first EMV chip-based card in Fiji (that brings more security to payments and withdrawals).”
Mr Reynaud added: “This year we will be launching more innovative products that will allow our customers greater access to banking services.
“We have to continuously adapt our offers to the new technologies and the new demands in order to give the best service to our customers.”
Partnership with Sun Insurance
“I am already pleased to announce that we have now partnered with Sun Insurance and we are ready to distribute insurance products within our network,” he said.
He thanked the Reserve Bank of Fiji for the agreement obtained and the CEO of SUN Insurance Lolesh Sharma and his team for this partnership. An official launch is scheduled in the next few weeks.
“BRED Group has invested a lot over the last three years and this clearly shows our commitment and confidence in the Fijian Market.”
