The Fiji Catholic Women’s League has set its National Strategic Plan for the next four years after their three-day workshop ended at the Immaculate Conception Parish Hall in Lami last Saturday.

Former league president and workshop facilitator Susana Evening said the main objective of the workshop was to formulate their strategic plan for the next four years.

“I am very pleased with the participation and the 75 women that are here including the national office bearers,” she said.

“Our strategic plan acts as a guide line through the next four years from 2016 -2019 that will enable us to strengthen our organisation from various divisions and would also help develop our spiritual relationship with the Lord and with others.”

Ms Evening said the workshop, was a way in which Catholic women from around Fiji could meet.

“This workshop takes place after every four years and this is also a way of communicating with other woman from other Parishes and getting to know them and the challenges they go through and by the end of the day we would have to come up with a draft frame work for our strategic plan,” she said.

Participants of the workshop represented 34 Catholic parishes around Fiji – six Parishes from Vanua Levu, 10 from the West and 18 from the eastern division.
