Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama

Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama has confirmed that he will be visiting the Western Division for two weeks now and not one.

He clarified this yesterday at the Vodafone Arena, Laucala Bay during the combined disciplined forces church service hosted by the Fiji Police Force. He was the chief guest.

“My West visit was supposed to be one week but I have extended it two weeks as I want to visit all Government projects in the division and meet the people,” he said.

Mr Bainimarama said in the first week of the visit, he would also be closing the Policy Dialogue for Parliamentarians at the Warwick Fiji Resort & Spa at Korolevu this Friday.

He said it would only be fair for him and the people of the West to extend the visit for two weeks so that he would be able to visit all Government projects and spend more time with the people.

Mr Bainimarama will also be meeting with civil servants in the Western Division.

He will be opening projects worth near $1.4 million.

Meanwhile, Mr Bainimarama described his recent visit to the Northern Division as very successful.
