Focus On No.1: BEN

The Vodafone Fijian 7s coach Ben Ryan aims to end the five-year jinx at the Wellington 7s this weekend.
He made the comment before the team flew out to Wellington yesterday.
“We always have the appetite to win everything and just have to make sure we fly over from Sydney next with maximum points,” he said.
“We need to be in the first spot and the target I set is another 35 series points in the next two tournaments. I’ve won in Wellington twice for England and I know what it take to win.
“We’re likely to play USA, England, France or Samoa and South Africa or New Zealand in the semifinal or even in the final,” he said.
“South Africa with a $7 million budget and England, USA, it will be difficult but this is what World Series is all about.”
Fiji is in Pool C with Argentina, Wales and Japan.
“We have Argentina who recently won the Punta Del Este tournament. Wales brought their top players from the 2009 RWC and Japan who aims to make the final in Wellington.
“We trained very hard and the boys are ready to go. Expecting them to play well, obviously back-to-back wins would be good but the big picture is to win gold in Rio.
“We give our best shot and try our very hardest,” he said.
Fiji leads the series with South Africa on 35 points while USA shares third spot with Argentina (29) and England fourth on 26.
