Pre-school students of Tikina Naqalimare, Nadroga-Navosa will something to celebrate. This comes after Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama commissioned the new Naqalimare Kindergarten.

Altogether there are eight villages in the district of Naqalimare and pre-scholars from villages such as Naveyago, Rarabasaga, Sautabu, Koronisagana are attending this kindergarten.

A parent Milika Lewaivu, 35, of Koronasagana village said, “Now my grandson can have a normal class at Kindergarten.”

“Before the children use to conduct their class at the village hall in Korosagana and if there was an important event being conducted in the village, the class would be disrupted.”

She said then they would be transferred to a spare room in the school, but it was later used by RFMF Engineer during the development of Naqalimare Kindergarten and ablution block.

Mr Bainimarama said he was glad to open the renovated building for the students.

“So far this 2016 has been great year for the children of Fiji for my Government has been able to help and provide for the students of Fiji with new buildings and equipments in Naitasiri and Labasa and many places in between,” he said.

“I can’t imagine a better way to kick start a new year then this. Every minute I have to spend with the school children in Fiji brings a smile to my face, seeing their faces light up when they see the new improvements in their school. It is always a treat.

“I share in the experience of optimism of what they will have to accomplish in the years to come,” he said.

The total investment on the building is $168, 041.97.
