Going to Wailoaloa? It is very hard to miss this major $70 million investment by the Gokal Group of Companies.

The Pullman Nadi Bay Resort and Spa, which will be Fiji’s newest upscale international brand resort development, is fasting shaping up.

With initial schedule for official opening by June this year, confirmations could not be received from the developers as to whether there are any changes with the opening date.

The resort includes more than 240 rooms, 16 suites, three restaurants, three bars and an outdoor swimming pool with a water slide.

It will also have a health spa and sauna, five retail shops and conference facilities.

The resort investment has been taken up to the next level by tying in the Accor Group, a leading preeminent hotel operator and market leader in Europe, to manage the property.

The partnership sees the introduction of the “Pullman” brand to Fiji adding an upscale hotel to support and drive our tourism industry further.

The Gokal Group of Companies have a diversified business portfolio and are the pioneers of duty-free trade in Fiji.

They are involved in retail, wholesale, property development and already own and operate the Suva Peninsula Hotel.

The investment is yet another demonstration of local investor confidence and commitment.

Minister for Industry, Trade and Tourism, Faiyaz Siddiq Koya, was hosted to an event in March the past year to show the progress of the construction works.
