Police have issued a strong warning against people throwing stones at vehicles after a student was hurt in a bus.

A Lodoni Transport bus was allegedly stoned near Burerua Village in Tailevu yesterday.

Police spokesperson Atunaisa Sokomuri said a student of Queen Victoria School (QVS) was rushed to the Korovou Hospital after he was injured in the alleged incident.

“This is serious and Police will not condone this type of action,” Inspector Sokomuri said.

Korovou Hospital confirmed last night that the student was treated and sent home.

Inspector Sokomuri said the student suffered facial injuries.
