Ben Ryan says the support for the team by donors has been outstanding.

And the Vodafone Fijian 7s coach said the generosity of Fiji rugby die-hards has allowed them to be on track in the World Sevens Series.

SouthBay Davui, a rugby support group based in California, presented the team with Game Ready machine worth $17,000 last week.

The group is a non-profit organisation created to develop a global Fijian business and through this network their goal is to give back to the Fijian community.

SouthBay Davui posted up a video on their Facebook page yesterday showing Ryan acknowledging the support his boys have been getting in terms of equipments which would keep the players in good form in the series and building up to the Rio Olympics.

“Just another thank you to the donors and some of that money is going towards the boys’ recovery and preparation,”Ryan said.

“What we are buying are personal humidifiers for the hotel and for our flights.

“The osmolality machine makes sure that you are fully hydrated,” Ryan said.

“We are thinking of acquiring garments compression.

“We need to make sure we don’t miss anything as we gear up for Rio.”

Ryan’s 12 for Wellington

Ryan has named 12 players to compete in the Wellington 7s this weekend.

The forwards are Pio Tuwai, Jasa Veremalua, Isake Katonibau, Apisai Domolailai and Semi Kunatani.

The backs include Kadavu native Emosi Mulevoro, Seremaia Tuwai, Vatemo Ravouvou, Osea Kolinisau (skipper), Savenaca Rawaca, Amenoni Nasilasila and Sevuloni Mocenacagi.

“Our backs can also play number of positions, this is important, if we have any sighting or injuries we will have our options.”

Alifereti Veitokani and Viliame Mata are being rested.

Meanwhile,  the Ben Ryan coached side had their final intense scrimmaging session with Canada yesterday.
