Authorities are still investigating a case where a nurse’s quarters in Rakiraki was destroyed by fire on Wednesday night.
The wooden building consisted of nine bedrooms, which accommodated nurses of Rakiraki Hospital. It is believed that the fire must have started from one of the bedrooms which were left vacant at the time of the incident. How the fire started is yet to be confirmed by the National Fire Authority as inspection of the scene continues.
