Zavin Shah was the happiest graduate last Friday after winning the Pivot Point Fiji Dux prize during the 2015 Class Graduation at the Tanoa International Hotel in Nadi.

The 22-year-old Labasa woman graduated in Advanced Diploma in Esthetics.

“When I returned from Australia in 2014, I was exposed to a different environment, so I enrolled in this programme,” she said.

Ms Shah also has an Advance Diploma in Information Technology and has completed CCNA (CISCO) Stage One.

She has worked for Fiji Broadcasting Corporation and  Vodafone Fiji before joining InterContinental Fiji Resort and Spa.

“I fell in love with Spa and never regretted it. It is a hot cake in the market and IT is sort of flooded nowadays. If I remained in IT, it would be boring after all.”

Ms Shah said: “There are no barriers for success when the heart is willing to go the extra mile.”

Her classmate Naleshni Devi, 30, originally from Ba was awarded the Principal’s Award.

Ms Devi said she faced a lot challenges, but her family played a big role in her success.

“I got a good job at the Bebe Spa at the Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort and Spa. I earn a good pay and the whole investment proved my choice to be good,” she said.

“There were a lot of expenses in travelling and for the projects, but the sacrifice is bearing fruit now, and maybe I will later open my own business.”
