25 Teams For Sanatan Tourney
Twenty-five teams have registered to participate in the Labasa Sanatan Soccer Tournament on February 20 at Subrail Park.
This annual event is organised by the Shree Sanatan Dharm Pratinidhi Sahba Fiji Labasa branch.
Tournament chairman Mor Singh said they were planning for 32 teams but Taveuni, Tabia, Seaqaqa, Bua and Dreketi will not take part.
“It is a one-week tournament which would end on February 28,” Singh said.
“The Cup winner gets a trophy and $2000 and $900 for the losing finalist and the semifinalists get $300, Plate winner $200, Bowl winner $150.
“The objective of the tournament is to bring the people together.
“I would like to thank Sarju Prasad, all committee members and sponsors for their support and we are hopeful that this year the tournament will be a success.”
