Makoi Bulldogs and Namatakula Ruggers won the Vodafone Nadroga Nines tournament at Lawaqa Park last Saturday.

Both teams were scoreless at fulltime and organisers decided for the teams to share the prize.

In the Plate final, Saru Dragons Two beat Sabeto Roosters 8-0 while Noitoga Bears defeated Burenitu Cowboys 10-8 in the Bowl final.

Fiji National Rugby League operations manager Joe Finau said it was only fair to call off the final for the safety of the players.

“The finalists had to share the prizemoney of $800,” he said.

“It was getting dark and since there is another competition next weekend the match had to be called off for the safety of the players.” Edited by Osea Bola
