Jeshua Gideon Hope’s hardwork paid off when he became the national topper for the Year 10 examinations.

The news came as a surprise and he was shocked when he found out.

“Honestly I didn’t even know I was the national topper until today when my principal told me this morning I guess it feels pretty good and I can’t wait to tell my mum when I go home,” Jeshua said.

He attributed his success to the school and support from his teachers.

“When I was in primary school, I wasn’t really the study hard type but when I came to Jai Narayan I started taking my school work more seriously and I started focusing more. It’s really because of the nature of the school that caused me to try hard during the FY10CE,” he said.

“My mum has been a very good parent and my dad has always been there to support us whenever he could. I didn’t face many difficulties plus my siblings always help out.”

He thanked God, his family and teachers.

“First and foremost I would like to thank God, my family, friends not forgetting the teachers. I thank God that am blessed with such amazing teachers that really take their work seriously and do the best for us in whatever way they can.”
