San Francisco 49ers  rep Jarryd Hayne was an inspiration to the Vodafone Fijian 7s team earlier today.

He was part of the jersey presentation for tomorrow’s sevens meet. The boys also received a hat and shirt from his apparel line.

Vodafone Fijian 7s coach, Ben Ryan tweeted: “Vinaka so much for coming across to see us. An inspiration to all Fijians.”

Hayne joined the 7s team in singing the popular Fijian hymn, “Oqo na noqu Masu.” Hayne represented Fiji at the 2008 Rugby League World Cup. He is back in Sydney after completing a mixed first season in the NFL with the San Francisco 49ers.

Fiji is in Pool C alongside Argentina, Samoa and France for the Sydney leg of the HSBC World Rugby 7s competition.
