New Prefects Ready To Lead

Tamavua Primary School headboy Rayan Singh said his hard work and academic achievements last year led to his appointment yesterday.
He was inducted into the top post alongside 94 school prefects which included headgirl, Lily Taufaga.
Those appointed yesterday were class captains, school prefects and the deputy headboy and deputy headgirl. The school has a roll of more than 900 students.
Principal education officer for primary and pre-school, Josua Sevutia was their chief guest.
“I am very proud because four years back my sister was the headgirl and this year I am the headboy,” Rayan said.
“I worked hard last year and I hope that with the help and support of other prefects we can assist the teachers maintain the discipline level in the school.”
Lily said: “I encourage my fellow prefects to be alert and help maintain the noise level and discipline in the school.”
The school is based in Tamavua.
