Team Vows Best: Khan

The Vodafone Futsal Fijian team was named yesterday for the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) Futsal Championship which starts on Monday at the Vodafone Arena, Suva.
The 14-member line up will be representing Fiji for the first time as the tournament will be a qualification round to the 2016 FIFA Futsal World Cup in Colombia in September.
Coach Intiaz Khan said: “We had three weeks training before leaving for our tour to New Zealand and upon returning we have been in camp for the last three weeks.”
“We all know where we stand, we all know how the other teams have prepared and we are all looking forward to it.
“The only thing I can say on behalf of the team is that we will do our best, we will be competitive and we are ready.”
Team captain for the side is Mira Sahib has been playing futsal for the last 12 years.
Team: Ulaiasi Tamanisau, Prashant Prasad, Praveet Singh, Hussain Sahib, Shelvin Chand, Suraj Chand, Mohammed Salmeem, Akitesh Kumar, Roderick Chand, Dhiraj Kumar, Altaaf Sahib, Anish Kumar, Kevin Singh and Maciu Tuilau.
Fiji play their first game against New Caledonia on Monday at 3pm at the Vodafone Arena, Suva.
