Prefects Ready For The Challenge

The head prefects of Sangam Sadhu Kuppuswamy Memorial College (SSKMC) in Nadi, Krishan Raju and Hasmita Rajan say they are ready to take on the their leadership roles.
They were part of the 73 students who were inducted as prefects and head prefects for the junior and intermediate years by the district officer Nadi, Jone Manueli.
“I am honoured and I strongly believe in teamwork. With the help of the student council and other head prefects we will fulfill our duties,” Hasmita said.
“I am proud and at the same time I am ready to take on this new challenge.”
Krishan also represented Fiji in tennis in last year’s 2015 Commonwealth Youth Games in Samoa. Fiji finished in 4th position.
Mr Manueli challenged the students saying: “This responsibility requires commitment, patience, respect, loyalty, perseverance, hard work and trust.
“The effective and efficient delivery of the service and guidance is required of you for the smooth flow of the school protocols and programmes that are entrusted in you as members of the student council of SSKMC.
“The school community here today embraces you and demands you to be good role models to the rest of the students through your leadership,” he said.
The school’s theme this year is ‘Parental Involvement Strengthens a Child’s Success.’
It is in line with Pillar 4 of the Ministry of Education. The theme is expected to be used for the next three years.
The school has a roll of 1000 students.
