Students Reminded Of Leadership Roles

Leadership is an art of getting things done through people.
This was echoed by Sereana Qoro during her address as chief guest to the leaders of Gospel High School during their prefect induction yesterday.
Mrs Qoro also reminded the leaders that leadership was about understanding the ability to achieve desired results from people.
Student heads, school prefects, class prefects, house captains, and other various student body leaders were inducted.
School headboy, Samuela Logavatu, said he felt privileged to be chosen for the role and a huge responsibility was ahead of him.
“My hard work and sacrifice got me to the point I am in today,” Samuela said.
Anishma Maharaj, headgirl, who is not a new face to the role as she was a former headgirl at Gospel Primary School and also the deputy head girl of GHS last year.
“I am deeply honoured to be placed in a leadership role since primary school and there have been challenges like communication breakdown or disciplinary issues, but with the help and guidance of my fellow prefects we have made it through,” Anishma said.
Rosita Maharaj, Anishma’s mother, felt very proud of her daughter who has not only been excelling in the leadership of the school, but also academically.
“She has been performing well in her school work and has also been achieving great responsibilities as a young leader of her school,” Mrs Maharaj said.
