Brazil Tour For Our Reps

The Brazil tour for the Vodafone Fijian Under-23 squad has been confirmed.

The Brazil tour will be from April 25 to May 7 where they will play four matches.

Team director/ Fiji Football Association vice- president Tarunesh Reddy said the Brazil tour was needed to prepare the team before the Rio Olympics in August.

“This trip to Brazil is something that we really need because our target is obviously the Rio Olympics,” Reddy said.

“The boys will get more exposure because they have learnt a lot from their recent Spain tour.

“Countries like Spain and Brazil are where people live and breathe football.

Four more players will join camp in Ba on February 15.

Pranil Naidu, Kolinio Sivoki and Christopher Waisasala will also join the squad in camp on February 15.

“If the boys prove themselves during camp then they might get invited to join the team to Brazil.

Roy Krishna

“Roy (Krishna) was supposed to join us for the Brazil tour but that will depend on Wellington Phoenix qualifying for the second round of the A -League.

“But that doesn’t mean he won’t be part of the team to the Rio Olympics. He is recovering well from his ankle injury.”
