Court Wants Summary Of Facts For Alleged Kulukulu Murder

High Court in Lautoka judge Aruna Aluthge has instructed the State to provide the Summary of Facts on the alleged Kulukulu, Sigatoka, murder.
Justice Aluthge gave the instruction when the two accused, Sundar Kaur, 48, and Geeta Devi, 28, appeared before him at the High Court in Lautoka last Friday.
The women are charged with one count of murder each while Devi is also charged with one count of providing false information.
Kaur is alleged to have murdered her 14-year-old daughter Sanjani Lata, who was also known as Mona.
The court heard that first accused Kaur, pleaded guilty to murder while the second accused, Devi, pleaded guilty to giving false information, but pleaded not guilty to the alternative count.
The alleged incident happened at Kulukulu, Sigatoka, on November 1, last year.
Justice Aluthge ordered for the matter to be called on February 19 for the State to provide the Summary of Facts. Edited by Maikeli Seru
