Duo To Set Example
St Agnes Primary School headboy Gerard Furivai and headgirl Avelina Navue say they are ready to set good examples with their leadership roles this year.
The duo, who are in Year Eight, said they wanted to be role models in school.
Avelina said: “This is my last year in primary school and I want to set an example of being a good leader.”
Avelina said her role model was her father who taught her qualities of being a good leader.
Gerard said he did not expect to become the headboy of the school.
“I was so happy when my teachers informed me that I will be the headboy this year,” he said.
Gerard said as the headboy, he would help his teachers look after the school.
“I also want to set good examples of being a good leader to my younger brothers and sisters in school.
