Fiji Go Down Fighting

As expected, the first Cup semifinal between Fiji and New Zealand kept many at the edge of their seats.
New Zealand ran across first with a try to Ben Lam. At half-time, New Zealand led 7 – 0.

Akira Ioane stamped his mark after the breather. The conversion was successful.
Fiji ran in two tries to Isake Katonibau and Vatemo Ravouvou. Only one try was converted. NZ won 14 – 12
Fiji will now face South Africa for the third and fourth place.
