Top priorities; God first and education.

This is the daily reminder that Jasmine Tamanitoakula receives from her mother.

Jasmine, is the eldest of four children.

Her mother, Siteri Batiwale had a reason to be proud after she badged her daughter as the headgirl of John Wesley College during their prefect induction last Friday.

“This is a special day for me because I am able to witness the fruit of my teaching and that is to badge my daughter,”Ms Batiwale said.

Jasmine, who is a Year 13 commerce student said she was confident that the year would be fruitful.

“It is going to be a tough year,  but I believe that through the assistance of my mother, students and teachers, this year will be fruitful,”Jasmine said.

About 30 prefects were badged by their parents and guardians.
