Sushi House In Nadi Aims To Attract More Asian Tourists

There are great option to dine out in Nadi Town.
Especially if you love sushi – a Japanese food consisting of cooked vinegared rice combined with other ingredients, raw uncooked seafood,
vegetables and sometimes tropical fruits.
Ling’s Sushi House Limited has been in operation in Nadi since a week before last Christmas.
They specialise in Japanese cuisine Director Ling Pan said, “The tourists we have now are more Asians andthat was the reason we opened this business.”
Her investment idea was introduced to her by her younger brother who has been operating a tour company in Fiji since 2010.
“Asian tourists want to stay longer and they want different foods from the ones they see in Australia and NewZealand,” she said.
Her husband worked as a Japanese chef in China in a f ve-star hotel.
“Last year I came to Fiji and said to myself that it will be good to open a Japanese restaurant in Fiji. We invested $300,000 as we had to import machines from China.”
Feature
“The Sushi train moves with a switch of a button. Every dish is on the moving train from Sushi, Udon, Ramen and fried rice.
“The dish is packed in a container which moves in a line and makes it easy to pick when it comes towards you.
“The prices are easy to know because different colour container lids represent the price. When you had finished your meal, just count the
containers to determine the amount.
“There is a separate wine and dine for the ala carte who order something different from the menu from the sushi bar and it can sit about 30 people.”
Since opening business late last year, she said, Sushi lovers had been flocking in regularly.
Currently the eatery employs five Fijians.
