Another 280 visitors arrived last night at the Nadi International Airport on a full flight from Beijing on board a Fiji Airways chartered flight by Rosie Holidays.

They follow hot on the heels of the arrival of about 600 new visitors from three separate flights from Beijing, Shanghai and Taipei the past week.

And with two more flights, one from Shanghai and one from Taipei expected over the next few days, close to 1500 passengers would have arrived over the course of the two weeks.

These visitors are here to celebrate the Chinese New Year.

Rosie Holidays managing director, Tony Whitton said, the visitors were staying on the Coral Coast, Denarau, Mamanucas and the Yasawas.

He confirmed a few of them have even been extra adventurous and travelled to the North as well.

“The Feedback from our tour guides on the ground is they love the people,” he said.

“Bit hot…but they are enjoying the resorts, the day cruise to the outer island, jet skiing, sky diving, jet boating , helicopter trips, swimming with sharks, shopping and visiting Fijian villagers.

“On some of the evenings we have arranged dinners at local Chinese Restaurants and they have been pleasantly surprised at the high quality of the sea food and Chinese cuisine.

“A comment we receive over and over again, is the Fijian people are always smiling and friendly.”

Both the Shanghai Charter from China and the Taipei Charter from Taiwan will arrive tomorrow.

While Rosie Holidays has organised the four charters from China, they are the ground handlers for the two charters from Taiwan. The Chartered Fiji Airways flights from Taiwan have been chartered by Taipei-based tour company, EzTravel.
