Black to black
Pranil Ram , Nadi
The All Blacks 7s team once again come from behind to win the Sydney 7s for a second time in a row. It was an epic battle just as all had anticipated.
The All Blacks 7s team have shown that what an abundance of Rugby talents they have at their disposal. It seems like the conveyor belt of producing sevens rugby players is never ending. These players could be the future All Blacks stars. Winning back to back tournaments has not been easy. This is a rare feat of recent times.
Their never say die attitude has helped them win matches in the last seconds. They have once again stamped their authority on the series and are genuine contenders for an Olympic medal.
Fiji lost again

No matter how well Fiji played, they still lost. I will criticise the Fiji team for I love them. The biggest problem is they get carried away. Sometimes being fancy with the ball is not the answer. To win should be the biggest objective.
We need more sprinters in the team, players that can run. I have great hopes that this year’s Olympics, Fiji shall bring home the gold medal in the 7s field. But as it is, I feel I will have to wait another four years to see this dream coming true. It’s not too late, Fiji team should pull up their socks and get their priorities right. Kudo’s to Ben Ryan though for keeping the calm and discipline in the team.
