The two soldiers that were returned to Fiji from Sinai for their involvement in drugs during the last two weeks can only reapply after five years, says Colonel Litea Seruiratu.

The Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) chief of staff said the two, who are members of the Territorial Force (TF), had been discharged from the RFMF.

“The standard rule at the RFMF is that they can only reapply after five years after proving they have been well-disciplined and have no negative Police record,” she said.

Colonel Seruiratu said there were other RFMF requirements that they had to pass.

“Those in the regular and TF should at all times be disciplined and uphold the name of the institution,” she said.
