$160K Boost For League

Vodafone Fiji yesterday sealed the deal to sponsor the 2016 Premier League for $160,000.
Vodafone Fiji chief marketing officer Rajnesh Prasad handed the cheque to Fiji Football Association chief executive officer Bob Kumar and Fiji FA League board chairman Yogeshwar Singh in Suva last night.
“Vodafone Fiji has been supporting the development of football in the country for the past six years,” Prasad said.
“Our commitment to the sport is reflected by our continued sponsorship support to the Fiji Football Association.
“We are once again delighted to extend our gesture of support as we bring on board sponsorship for this year’s Premier Football League.
“I take this opportunity to acknowledge Fiji FA in their part in organising the competition for more than three decades now and partnering with us in continuing to pave ways to better the competitions.”
Kumar acknowledged Vodafone Fiji.
“Indeed it is a timely assistance from Vodafone Fiji at this difficult financial period and Fiji Football is grateful for the assistance,” Kumar said.
$100,000 will be shared between the Super Premier and Premier divisions while $60,000 will be for Youth divisions.
The Vodafone Premier league kicks off this weekend in Nausori, Nadi, Ba and Labasa.
