Labasa is all geared up to face Dreketi in the first game of the Vodafone Premier League 2016 at Subrail Park tomorrow.

Coach Johan Leewai said three Under-20 players who were currently camping at the National Football Academy in Ba will join the team

“They are goalkeeper Waisake Ravuiwasa, Iliasa Vulimainavuso and Akeimi Narara,” Leewai said.

“Our players who are in Suva Sandeep Nair, Akuila Mataisuva and U20 rep Ashneel Raju will join us on Saturday morning.

“Our players have been training for five weeks.

“Our aim is to qualify for the O-League and that means we have to win the Vodafone Premier League 2016.

“We are going to take one game at a time.”

“First we will face Dreketi, a team which I’ve coached previously and then Ba on February 27,” he said.

“I would like to request Babsiga Lions fans to support the team.

“It is another new year and I am confident that the players will perform their utmost best.”
