The Opposition Whip, Ratu Isoa Tikoca labelled Minister for Employment, Productivity and Industrial Relations, Semi Koroilavesau as a ‘coward’ and ‘stupid’ during the Parliament sitting yesterday.

Ratu Isoa made these comments while addressing a supplementary question to the Minister for Employment stating that he doesn’t know what his role was in the ministry.

This is after Mr Koroilavesau responded to a question brought to his attention by Opposition Member, Alivereti Nabulivou asking the Minister if he could advise the House on the amount paid to Government workers and the Christmas Island veterans who participated in the operation grapple.

Mr Koroilavesau wanted to comment on Ratu Isoa’s statement saying that the Attorney-General had taken over his job.

However, the Opposition Whip walked out of Parliament before Mr Koroilavesau could reply to his statement.

Mr Koroilavesau said that was the attitude of someone who could not stand up to the heat.
