Abdul Kadar says it’s time the Blues bring glory back to the sugar city after eight years.

The Lautoka Football Association president said the last time they won the National League was in 2008.

And they need to lift their game starting with 4R Electrical Ba 3pm today at Govind Park in the opening round of the Vodafone Premier League 2016.

“Its been eight long years and our aim this year is to win the Vodafone Premier League, it’s about time that we step up and walk the talk,” Kadar said.

“Every team wants to win but we will try our best to come out on top in 2016.

“Getting a good start is important and that is what every team will be aiming for.

“Our preparation has been really good. I’ve  faith in the players that they will get the job done.”

In the other games today, Labasa hosts Dreketi 1.30pm at Subrail Park.

Tomorrow at 3pm Nadi hosts Nadroga while Rewa hosts Suva at Ratu Cakobau Park, Nausori.
