Further remanded
A 44-year-old man charged with rape of child has been further remanded in custody by the High Court in Lautoka yesterday.
The accused, Filipe Tuisawau Koroinibau Wai Kepa, who has been charged with three counts of rape contrary to section 207 of the Crimes Decree 2009, appeared before Justice Aruna Aluthge.
He is also charged with one count of pornographic activity contrary to section 62 of the Juveniles (Amendment) Act 1997.
The State filed and served a copy of Information and Disclosures.
Bail was extended, however the accused was remanded after he failed to produce his sureties.
Justice Aluthge advised the matter to be adjourned to February 18.
