It is better to be a lion at the head of an army of sheep than a sheep at the head of an army of lions.

This was the quotation from Daniel Defoe  that was relayed to 48 prefects at Labasa Muslim College by retired school principal George Nathan during their prefect induction yesterday.

He told them the leadership values cannot be taught, it can only be learned.

“The teachers have observed the leadership qualities in these students and have picked them to assist in the daily duties of the school,” Mr Nathan said.

Meanwhile, Shivneel Reddy said many students desire to be the headboy of their school at one point in life and so was he.

“I am overjoyed and feeling thankful to God and my teachers for giving me the opportunity to lead the school,” Shivneel said.
