Rewa is eager to kick-start their season with a win against Suva in the Vodafone Premier League tomorrow at Ratu Cakobau Park, Nausori.

Coach Marika Rodu said Suva would be tough especially as they have played two games in the Pillay Garments Champion vs Champion Series against Nadi.

“This will be a tough first game for us because Suva has played two quality games already so they are geared up and ready,” Rodu said.

“I watched the two games against Nadi and it was unfortunate that they lost. They have experienced players and a good coach.

“We did not have a good start last year but finished strongly, this time we hope to start the season off on a high note.”

With the inclusion of the Vodafone Fijian Under-23 players who recently toured Spain, Rodu said their presence would be a big boost.

“We gave them a week off when they returned and it is good to have them back.

“Training has been going really well and the boys are prepared for our first game.

“We have a few plans in place for the team and we will be reviewing the whole squad throughout the year.”

Rewa host Suva at 3pm at Ratu Cakobau Park, Nausori.
