Selai Vuetibau, 18, is everyone’s role model at home, says proud mother Foki Vuetibau.

The Year 13 student of Latter-day Saints (LDS) Church College was inducted as the school’s headgirl yesterday.

Mrs Vuetibau, 48, said Selai, despite being the youngest of her four children, had everyone at home looking up to her.

“I am so proud of my daughter’s achievements,” she said.

She said Selai had consistently been given a leadership role since she was a Year One student at LDS Primary School.

“It’s not something new for her because she was a headgirl in her primary school.

“She is a very supportive, hardworking and responsible girl.”

Mrs Vuetibau said her family had been and would continue to support Selai to fulfill her dreams.

Meanwhile Selai said: “I am so happy that everyone in my family considers me their role model.

“I consider them as my role models too,” she said.

Selai said she was aware that leadership was important and she would try to set good examples as a leader in her school.”

Meanwhile, LDS Church College headboy, Samuel Lowry, 17, was happy to be headboy of the school.

“I did not expected to be the headboy but I will do all my best to fulfill my duties,” he said.
