Fiji Wedding Expo Plans Already in Motion

An event that will showcase more than 50 products and services specialising in weddings in Fiji during the Fiji Wedding Expo will be held next month.

More than 60 tourism industry representatives were briefed at the inaugural Tourism Fiji Wedding Expo (FWE) at the Tourism Fiji Head Office in Namaka on Thursday.

Tourism Fiji’s Events Coordinator, Mr Chad Eastgate conducted the briefing and said they were very pleased with the response and enthusiasm from the industry participants.

““It is fantastic to see such a diverse range of services on offer.

“Bridal parties will be able to get details for their entire wedding from hair and makeup, photographers, flower bouquets and cakes all at the one event.

“It is an opportunity to meet face to face in air conditioned comfort with more suppliers than you would otherwise be able to see in a day,” he said.

Being part of Fiji Wedding Expo for the Totoka Hair & Make Up Director, Ms Leanne Goff, it would be a great opportunity to connect with brides directly as well as network within the industry.

“Totoka’ means beautiful in Fijian and this is what we aim to make every bride look and feel like on their big day.”

The South Seas Cruises & Blue Lagoon Cruises, Sales Manager, Ms Lailanie Burnes said they applaud Tourism Fiji for introducing Fiji’s firstWedding Expo.

“It provides us with the opportunity to showcase our wonderful products that are tailor made specifically to this market.”

At the inaugural was Salon 21, Owner, Ms Neelma Singh said it is an amazing opportunity to meet potential clients and service providers.

“It is an opportunity to bring our business in the limelight and create awareness. Happy clients are our motto,” she said.

The expo will be held at the Shangri-La’s Fijian Resort and Spa from 19-20 March.

It would be open to the public with no door charge and it is not only targeting international bridal groups but Fiji based bridal parties as well.
