A 40-year old man is in police custody after he was arrested for allegedly injuring his wife with a cane knife. The incident occurred at a village in Sigatoka early yesterday morning when the couple were under the influence of alcohol.
The 40-year old wife was rushed to Sigatoka Hospital and is admitted under observation.
Once again, we wish to reiterate to members of the public not to consume excessive alcohol as arguments often break out when under the heavy influence of liquor.
The 40-year old man is expected to be charged later today.
