Vote of no confidence

Simon Hazelman,  Savusavu

I believe this to be the biggest joke of 2016.

It confirms to me that the Opposition is so immature and that they need to grow up.

To want Ro Teimumu as new prime minister over one who is genuinely for the people and with the people is outright ridiculous.

Six hours of wasted time over a motion that was clearly going to be thrown out is a waste of the people’s time and money!

Karavaki is absolutely correct in saying that our PM is a strongman and an enforcer. It is exactly what we want to deal with such people like Karavaki and kind!

Instead of taking a constructive role in Parliament the Opposition is obviously going down the destructive road.

I’ve said this before and I’m going to say it again, SODELPA is preset to self-destruct and will fare poorly in the next general elections.

Unless of course they wake up to the dire situation they are currently in, something I just cannot see them doing!

We are witnessing the worst Opposition parliamentarians ever! Let’s move on honourable Prime Minister. Do what you have to do for equality and make it stick!

Red light

Neelz Singh,  Lami

According to road rules ‘Red light’ means stop no matter who is travelling on the road. No one is above the law. Does it apply in Fiji?

FUTSAL boil-over

Pranil Ram,  Nadi

With 2016 FUTSAL qualifying tournament over we hold the record for scoring the least numbers of goals.

That is three and getting the most number of goals scored against us of 27.

We also hold the record for getting beaten by the highest margin of 9-1 against Tahiti.

It surely has created a boil-over situation among passionate soccer fans in Fiji. We cannot be just making up numbers in qualifying tournaments like this but rather give teams a good run for their money.

Fiji Football Association needs to get their act right in lifting the profile of this sport in Fiji.
